Sterling silver, black agate
7/6.5/2.6 cm
My first sculpture made from sterling silver.
I made the figurine out of jewelry wax by hand and then cut it in two and made both halves shallow. They turned out so thin and lightweight, the wax horse was transparent when I finished it. The silver casting was made by the local jeweler and was returned to me for further processing. I polished and cleaned the sculpture and put it onto a flat pedestal. The stone I picked for the pedestal is natural black agate, which I found fitting for this thin little figure as I didn't want it to be too heavy or too large
